Meet the newest Brown, Mandy Halbersleben

 

Ok, we adopted her as a college student at LFC. Winner, winner chicken Dinner!!!

Mandy is way cool and the whole family to cheer for her this year at the Davidson basketball games (except when they play UVA :))

Still reflecting on The Gilliams

Robert and Chantal are now back in Beirut; I could not imagine how hard it was to arrive back home "light". I mean light in the sense there is one missing.

Even now, when we travel as a family and one of the kids is not with us, it feels strange and unusual. Our Brown clan is broken and as a Dad I am not truly content until my brood is under roof.  I literally can not sleep well when the family is not all under our roof.

So, as the Gilliams return home, a new Jude-less normal must be gained, only with time.  Lord, please keep Robert and Chantal close. I pray for peace in your Will and for rest, from heaven.

What a long day

sat through an entire day on IMS from IBM; been a long time where I have sat through a day where I did not really understand the underlying technology. and it was a beautiful day outside as well - should have gone golfing...
