The interface for humans

The release of the iPad has been met with both excitement and skepticism. I have personally touched one myself. I am excited by its potential as a consumer device.  The touch interface, the size and the portably is exciting. The idea of one device for my music, video, web, email and play is great.  I want one for just walking around. I think it can really help the publishing business.

In the meantime, I now have a new business laptop.  It has the same specs essentially as my first one 15 years. Just faster, with more memory and better graphics. How boring. It is so utilitarian and thanks to the corporate image at Wachovia so locked down to be basically very, very useless. Well its great for creating corporate content. Having touched an iPad. i look at my laptop know with disgust.
